About Ari: Arlene (Ari) Istar Lev LCSW, CASAC is a social worker, family therapist, writer, and activist who lives in Albany, New York. She is on the adjunct faculties of the University at Albany and Empire College, and is the Founder and Clinical Director of Choices Counseling and Consulting. Ari specializes in issues related to sexuality and gender identity, and the unique therapeutic needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their families.
